Siesta Scripture Memory Team

Part of me being intentional this year includes memorizing scripture. Beth Moore has a blog on Living Proof Ministries http:blog.lproof.org/category/scripture-memory-2011 that tells you how to do this and how to be a Siesta. At the bottom of my blog I have written out all of my verses that I will be memorizing as part of this team. I am excited to SEE what God has planned for me as I grow closer to Him through His word.

Siesta Scripture Memory Team

Verse 1: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from thy presence, and do not take thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. Psalm 51:10-12
Verse 2: Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. Psalm 139:23-24
Verse 3: May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
Verse 4: Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart. Psalm 15:1-2
Verse 5: Casting all your cares on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Verse 6: Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell you of them, they would be too many to declare. Psalm 40:5
Verse 7: If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love; just as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:10-11
Verse 8: I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4
Verse 9: Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the Heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
Verse 10: The Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way you went until you came to this place. Deuteronomy 1:31
Verse 11: Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another. Colossians 3:12-13
Verse 12: It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. 2 Samuel 22:33
Verse 13: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God does with you: He will never leave you or forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
Verse 14: He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, " He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I will trust." Psalm 91:1-2
Verse 15: Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever, but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depth of the sea. Micah 7: 18-19
Verse 16: The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against evil doers, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. The righteous cry and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:15-17
Verse 17: But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, and HE who formed you, O Israel, Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine! Isaiah 43:1
Verse 18: Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Verse 19: Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord, we have an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:4
Verse 20: For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Verse 21: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Verse 22: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, but the righteous man shall live by faith. Romans 1:16-17
Verse 23: Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
Verse 24: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
